Jim Runestad Sworn is as District Six County Commissioner

Thank you for an opportunity to thank a few people.
Running for elective office is a major endeavor and I want to thank the primary people responsible for my election.
First is my wife Kathy. It was SHE who kept the home finances running, the kids all together and on time and where they were supposed to be. Kathy kept everything organized while I was spending almost all my time on the campaign trial. She accomplished all this grueling unending routing on a daily basis and all the while she was working a full time job herself.
Next I want to thank my campaign manager Jim Thienel who devoted endless hours working in every capacity to ensure victory. I won’t forget all my friends at the North Oakland Republican Club and Family Rights Coalition who pitched in to go door to door and made phone calls on my behalf.
But I especially want to recognize some of those who made a real personal difference including Rocky Hayes, Judy Swartz, Dennis Pittman, Cindy Holsworth, as well as Mike and Eileen Kowall. Finally, I want to thank my mother, Barbara, my children, brothers and sisters and the many relatives and friends who donated financially to the campaign.
I certainly intend to repay all your hard work by doing a great job for you as county commissioner.
