COMMISSIONER RESPONSIBLITIES
The primary responsibility of the Oakland County Commission is to handle the county budget. This year that totals about 830 million dollars.
Other responsibilities include:
- Establishing the annual county property tax millage rate
- Dealing with issues such as police and fire and senior citizens needs, parks and recreation and library
- Adopting ordinances and rules
- Adopting the county budget
- Establishing and formulating county policies
